Who Is Sung Suho?
Sung Suho is the son of Sung Jinwoo and Cha Hae-In, born in the new timeline after the original story ends. He is the protagonist of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, written by Daul.
Why He Grows Up Not Knowing Who He Is
Before Ragnarok begins, Jinwoo leaves Earth to fight alongside the Rulers against a new threat: the Itarim, god-like beings from beyond the universe. Before he goes, he seals away his son’s powers and memories so Suho can grow up as an ordinary child.
The plan works until the Itarim’s servants reach Earth. When Suho is attacked, his powers awaken — and Beru arrives to tell him the truth about his father and begin training him.
His System — and Its Limit
Suho inherits a System like his father’s. But there is a catch that most summaries miss: Jinwoo’s System was powered by Ashborn and designed to build a vessel for the Shadow Monarch. Suho’s version caps out at level 99.
The way past that ceiling is the most striking idea in the sequel: Suho’s growth is rebuilt on the power of Antares, the Monarch of Destruction — the enemy his father spent 27 years fighting.
Our read
The son of the Shadow Monarch grows through the power of the Monarch his father killed. It is Ragnarok’s clearest statement that Suho is not a copy of Jinwoo. The sequel works hardest exactly where it refuses to repeat the original.
Powers and Abilities
- Ruler’s Authority — telekinesis inherited from Jinwoo; he showed a talent for it even as an infant in the original’s epilogue
- Kandiaru’s Blessing — immunity to disease and poison, and faster recovery
- Shadow Creation — a power Jinwoo never had: turning shadow soldiers into weapons and equipment that can be graded, levelled up, and even used by other hunters
Is Suho Stronger Than Jinwoo?
No — not in anything published in the manhwa so far. By Ragnarok, Jinwoo has become a cosmic-level being fighting the Itarim across other worlds. Suho is strong by human standards and growing fast, but the gap between them is enormous. Beru tells him as much when Suho says he wants to surpass his father.
Novel spoilers
The Ragnarok web novel is complete. Summaries of its ending describe Suho growing into a Monarch-level power and helping defeat the Itarim — well beyond where the manhwa has reached.
Where to Follow Him
The Ragnarok manhwa is on hiatus at chapter 68 while a new artist takes over. The complete story is available in the web novel.
